These guys have just popped on to my radar, http://www.bluering.co.za
Seem to be Seacom resellers/partners.

Anybody using them, any reviews?

Price seems not bad:
25Mbps - R899pm
Starter shared plan
25Mbps (upload & download)
Uncapped
Unshapped
10:1 Contention Ratio
Free router
Once-off fee R2500

Told me on the phone they can connect anyone that has DFA running outside their home/business.

If they are legit, the prices see pretty reasonable. There is one clause though that worries me a bit: "In some instances we may have to piggy-back other providers in order to reach your premises. In the case that we do, unfortunately these service providers will charge further costs and will be determined on a case-by-case basis. Regardless, we will still aim to bring you the best prices possible."

I can assure you that these prices are "legit" and we are based on the DFA/Seacom network.

With regards to piggy-backing other providers, in some instances this may be an option, but our monthly pricing will not change. The only pricing that may be affected due to the costs of other service providers is a once-off fee.

Hi Miles

I sent through a contact request yesterday afternoon from your website. I have DFA running along one of the boundary walls of my estate, I'd be interested in finding out how you would be able to accommodate me.

I'd also be interested to know. I have DFA running in our street in front of the complex I stay in.

If it's anything like Lightspeed who ask for a commitment of anything between R10k and R50k pm depending on which operator you talk to, I'll pass.

For those of you that are interested, I recommend filling out the form on the website. From there they send you some additional information about how to check you coverage and so on.

I have been in contact with Miles, no feedback apart from me becoming a champion for their cause in my building.

Can i haz this?

Been talking to who ever is behind the Bluering FB page. Very slow in response times, must be a very, very small team behind it. From what I can tell they don't have a clue on who does what in terms of breakout, all I can manage to really find out is that they are trying to be like the one ISP you ever wanted if you were trying to log into DFA and Seacom's networks. They're up times and response to breaks in their fiber network are really good, plus they hold most of the licenses needed to trench their own networks (DFA, Seacom).

For example; Sorta like what these online PC shops do, they don't physically hold stock more like they relay warehouse pricing with their own prices lobbed onto that and wait for people to order and eft through. Where Bluering has negotiated with Seacom and DFA to use their network Bluering is the guys that buy the Bandwidth so you can have internet through those networks... (its a guess, early morning)

I got a response from their on-line form on the 10/2/2016 and responded to that the next day asking for some more information. I haven't received any feedback since then.
