Bluetooth pics to Iphone

Fair enough. But please do tell why you need to get rid of it for the s3 to be "even remotely useable"?

Due to the latency on the UI thread. Scrolling is laggy and unresponsive (Compared to stock Android. Even more so compared to other modern mobile OS's)

I can only go by the experience on my S2, but I would say there isnt any responsiveness difference between recent Samsung Android 4.1.2 (TouchWiz) and pure Google AOSP based Android up to 4.2.2 (e.g. CM10.1). At an OS UI, system menus etc. level they're pretty much equal and largely on par with my old iPhone 4.

But Apps on Android are completely different story. Some are downright dismal in comparison to a same-era iPhone, for example Tapatalk & AccuWeather which are smooth on iOS, but stutter noticeably on any version of Android I've tried. My current iPhone 5 is however in a completely different league compared to the two, everything just glides like silk.

There are major issues. You might not notice them. They were so big that Google dedicated an entire release to try address them.
TouchWiz compounds it dramatically

Woah, hang on:
So you cannot send files from a non iDevice to a iDevice via Bluetooth, unless it is jailbroken with the applicable app?

You can in iPhoto. It is app dependant

Then we'll just have to disagree, as my first hand experience does not match the above.

Really? Your profiling data shows that? Ours (which matches up with the other data available from other companies) shows that it has a dramatic effect on performance

Why would I need that? I've flipped back & forth enough times between Samsung (TouchWiz) 4.1.x based ROMs (various stock, NeatROM 4.x) and Google 4.2.x AOSP based ones (SuperNexus, SlimROM, CyanogenMod 10.1) to know there is no perceivable smoothness/performance difference on my S2.

It's so that you have facts guidig your opinion rather than some personal feeling

I believe my first hand experience over your Apple biased reporting any day of the week.

Apple biased reporting? Seems the google engineers have the same bias then, as they report the exact same thing.
But whatever, believe what you want. Enjoy your TouchWiz colored blinkers

I must make time to read all those articles you linked...

Huh? I didn't link any. You must have confused my post with someone else.
However, if you are interested in the subject, you can just search for them. There is quite a lot of material out there.
Most of the interesting articles from the google engineers are unfortunately on google+ though
