BMW 1 seires advice

I opened up the latest CAR Magazine and I must apologise. 118i & 120i are in fact 4 cylinder engines. bboy is also correct in that the e9x (current 3 series) 320i is a 4 cylinder.

I am however correct regarding the e46 320i being a 6 cylinder, and the e46 318i being a 4 cylinder.
 
The 130i and 135i have 6 cylinder engines while the rest of the 1-series range has 4. The current (E90) 320i is a 4 cylinder.

I personally dislike the 1-series but I love the 135i Coupe because it looks so much better than the FUGLY hatch. Don't spend more than R150k on any 1-series unless it's a 130i.
