BMW e46 defect - help

Hi

So I might be buying a second hand BMW tomorrow, an e46, Ive been researching it on the net and it turns out that on some of the cars the body tears and pulls away from the sub frame assembly.

According to some overseas forums, BMW germany and the UK fix this free of charge, even if the car is out of motor plan.

Has this problem happened to anyone else

lol which e46 model is this? ... Ive had a few and experienced none of this. First time i hear of such an issue ...
