BMW R1100 Cam chain replacement.

Hi

Neighbour has a BMW R1100 (2001 model) bike, and is looking for a replacement cam chain, or cam chain specs so can source a replacement.

BMW quoting rediculous amount for one... he is wanting another alternative.

Based in Cape Town southern suburbs... but any info or assistance is very much appreciated.

Has he tried Fleabay?

And is the part number 11317694427?

If so he can get one (or two) delivered from Germany for about R1000 including shipping. The only caveat is that they will be used, but in perfect condition.

Or a new set can be ordered from the USA for about R1800 plus shipping.

Just search for the part number and BMW on the auction site.
