Hi,

I'd just like to see if I am the only one with this type of experience from this dealership.

I went into BMW on Thursday last week to see what options were available to me with regards to trading in my car and what they had in stock as pre-owned.

I must say, that with all the car dealerships I have been to, and all the cars that I have bought, I have never gotten such poor service and left a dealership with such a bad taste.

The salesmen were reluctant to help me, I walked around for 20 minutes before anyone would even look in my direction. When I was finally helped I was taken outside to look at a vehicle where the salesman immediately lit a cigarette (I am a smoker so this doesn't bother me) but I then had smoke blown directly into my face?

Anyways, whilst looking over the car the salesman asked me to wait there for him, which I did, for 20 minutes until I got fed up and went looking, only to find him relaxing with a coffee in the office having a nice chat...

All I got there on was a bad attitude and not once was I even offered a test drive, and when asking for a quote, I got a piece of paper with some specs on it, with no prices.

Honestly, even if they had the car of my dreams, I still would have walked out and taken my business eleswhere, absolutely pathetic service for a dealership of that caliber.
 
Just go to another dealership... Cedar BMW went out of their way to help me when I had just bought a BMW - they knew I wasn't buying another but the salesman helped me out with all my queries.
 
Switch brands to something with some class :p

Yes you do... its called an A8 :p and its better than that POS S-Class nonsense that Chrysler put out every so often...
 
If you're talking about Club Motors Randburg, I had a very similar experience from them a few years back. Nobody was interested. Purchased from Zambesi Auto with excellent service and an infinite amount of smiles from everyone who works in that dealership

Remember guys, we're talking about the rubbish dealership, not the potentially rubbish cars they seem to not be interested in selling... Lol
 
Highly recommend Auto Glen BMW :) - really good service from them in Feb.

I'm looking for pre-owned, so any dealership willing to give me a decent deal with some decent service will be getting my money

My parents got a pre-owned 2015 f30 msport 320i with Nav/Harmon-Kardon/Xenons/Sunroof and other bits from them, apparently they sell quite a bit of pre-owned vehicles that are loaded with options. If you want, I could dig up the details and PM them to you.

Also got a good deal on the trade in.

Your issue is not unique to this dealership or brand. People just give a damn as they are too comfortable in their jobs. Move on and find a salesmen who is willing to work to make a deal happen.

For sure, I may be young but I'm not going to stand for sub-par service when spending this amount of money on a vehicle, actually no, scratch that, I'd expect to be treated with respect if I was buying a 2004 hyundai atos... If I were to deliver poor service in my job I would be fired, end of story, I don't understand how it's not the same across the board...
