I don't have a braai, so I'll be frying the "wors" in a pan on the stove. All good, but I usually gooi in some oil and then fry it. Any tips perhaps regarding the boerewors roll as I usually just gooi it on a bun with tomatoe sauce.

What else can I put on there? Mustard perhaps? Just putting tomatoe sauce on is so bleh.

Also, whenever I buy hotdog buns they're always "hard" on the outside. I'm looking for soft buns. Those sealed 6-pack buns Pick 'n pay sells, they should be soft right?

Just looking for some tips on what else I can put on the boerie roll as I'm really craving it. Sausage I just buy any "fat" sausage Pick 'n Pay sells.

Where do I get those? Or how do you make them?

Bachelor here so I'm duk ignorant with making food.

If you are looking for a quick meal then the onions are not going to be for you. The onions will take you 4 times longer to make than the rest of the whole meal combined.

Low, slow, lots of butter. Some people add brown sugar. I do mine without. Enough sugar inside the onions themselves.

If I pan fry I use a little water, simmer it for 10 minutes or with a lid on then take the lid off and it's fat is already in the water (so you can fry it in it's own juices).

Easy sauce is a can of tomato and onion, some brown onion soup and a bit of flavouring (salt, pepper, garlic, herbs, curry powder and such).
Fry an onion first for better flavour, add some of the wors fat for more flavour.

The soft rolls you’re looking for - get them from Woolies. They’re only marginally more expensive but much nicer.

I don't use oil, I simmer sausages in water for roughly then minutes this helps them cook evenly) then fry them in their own fat .

I like to nuke a tin of tomato and onion mix in the microwave oven for 4 minutes

Avo nacho chips cheese and caramalized onions

can do egg and cheese sauce as well

Mushroom sauce as well

Oh and every boerie roll must have onions

Any variation of chilli sauce is always pretty good with boerewors, for me food needs to burn as much as possible XD
