The news headline should be changed to "Soweto snubs the Boks".
Looks like the SA Rugby management were right in their original decision - waste of time to tour townships where there is little support.

It's not necessarily a gross generalisation. Fact is rugby is not as well supported by the Black populace as it is by other population groups. Conversely, Black support for football is obviously bigger than other population groups support for the same sport. It has nothing to do with race - probably more to do with preference.Nice and easy to generalise isn't it

Dont agee at all. Why should they go anywhere except a CBD. A CBD is where most people will be.
Besides, why dont they go to the Cape Flats, for example.

If your understanding of SA politics is so limited you should maybe go back to describing your bodily problems and functions to us - it's what you are better at.
You are right, Only you and Africans can understand South African politics the rest of the first world cannot, thats why Africa and South Africa in the "making" is such an success story after the handovers. There must be a place for idiots in the world too I presume!

Of course their original decision was to visit Soweto, then they changed their minds, then they changed it back again late on Friday - probably not the ideal way to ensure that there was a welcoming crowd. :|

Exactly, this trip hilighted the problem with our people and politics - lip service and whingers. People were sleeping on the street around the country in some cases to see the boks.
I am sure nobody in his righteous mind would dare do that in Soweto! LOL
Huh? I heard Friday morning that the boks were passing through our CBD. Short notice didn't stop me from going there. If they really wanted to go see the Boks, they would have. Now if it were a Kaizer Chiefs or Bafana open tour bus - the crowds would have been there in their masses.
