Yeah I was watching the England game last night, couldn't believe it when they showed the score. Looks like Argentina is set to continue with their uder achieving ways under Diego. 6-1 is embarrasing, even at that altitude. WOnder if Messi played?
 
scary .. did he get them all high or something ... maybe its his training technique .... everyone has to get high before a game :)
 
THey were playing at a high altitude which imo screwed them..but he couldnt use that as an excuse because he had previously ruled it out as a problem...

Apparently they only arrived two ours before the game and didn't have enough time to condition themselves. That's what I heard anyway.

Shock result though.
 
True,even at high altitude i reckoned they would give a good account of themselves

It's the beauty of betting with friends, he bet on a win I bet draw and we both kept our money. Don't worry, it's like bad pentaly decisions... it evens itself out over a season ;)

Though tbh, the most I have ever won at a betting shop (like where you can call it more ways... eg: The game will get 5 goals, draw in the firt half, then win by three in the second) was about R4000 when a mate of mine dragged me to one of those shops and I had a moment of genius. should have listened to him... he won R35000... (!!)

Where are these fabled bet shops?unless u stay overseas then it doesnt help me much...must gamble!

I studied overseas... It was fun for w hile, but I was spending too much money. even though I never bet more than R10 (equivalent) it added up when I started playing 3 tickets twice a week.
