Books on finance

Hi Guys,

I'm new to investing (beginner/novice), and looking for good books to Purchase to help me through getting started. I understand some of the basics, so not a very entry level book. A book that can explain shares and unit trusts, preferably in South African context, as I think this will be more relevant to our trading. Hoping t get a book or 2 that gives a hands on sort of feel, not like a story book.

Any advice would be appreciated.

I just finished reading Maya Fisher-French's book called Maya on Money and thought that it was a fantastic foundation in financial planning etc. definitely worth looking at. It may seem a bit basic at times but is a great foundation:

Sounds to me like an entry level book is exactly what you need.

No, I read a lot on the internet (so many personal finance news websites and such out there) and became my own financial advisor even before that book came out

But anyway, people who have read it says its good.
