Boosting 8ta signal

I am thinking about getting the 8ta 10GB per month contract. However, I have an 8ta SIM card in my iPad, and the signal seems to be poor at the location where I want to use the 10GB per month connection. It keeps dropping to Edge, and there are only a few places in the building where it gets a (weak) 3G signal.

The other alternative is Cell C. I have not tested the Cell C signal at the place though. Also, an equivalent Cell C deal is five times more expensive than that particular 8ta deal. But then again, if I am going to need to pay extra for atennas or other hardware to boost the 8ta signal, Cell C might work out to be as cost effective.

What are my options for boosting the 8ta signals, how effective are these options, do they gaurantee a signal, and what are the costs associated with them?

Any other advise also welcome (e.g., should I stick with Cell C, should I rather try and get ADSL, etc.)

Thanks in advance.

Is any location with acceptable reception in your house?
WiFi 3G (mifi) router. Move router to the best location receiving 8ta signal. If not sufficient, then not expensive window mounted antenna can improve signal (assuming modem/router has external antenna interface), but you will know it if more signal testing is done.

There's one room with okayish signal, but that's almost not good enough for me. So I'll do some more signal testing for both 8ta and Cell C. Thanks for the advice.
