Hi there guys,

I am running windows 7 via bootcamp on my iMac....

I have run out of space on the partition i created...

I have a copy of Photoshop 4 that i used on windows until i can afford to buy one for the mac.....

I am assuming i need to backup the current partition on an external HDD, delete it via the mac OS and then create a new partition bigger in size than the previous one...

Or i have an external 350GB hard drive, is it possible to set this up as a bottable HDD that can boot via bootcamp into windows 7 ?????

I have reseached this a bit earlier this year.
Seems like its not easily possible. If at all.

hmmm.. why dont u perhaps use some HDD cloning software.. Clone the bootcamp partition on a bigger HDD on the 320GB.
Delete the bootcamp partition from your mac, and re-create it - restore clone onto bootcamp.

just some speculation - but might work?

So i guess there's no way to boot into bootcamp on external...?

No there isn't, AFAIK. But using Winclone (in Mac OSX) allows you to clone the windows partition, as earlier suggested, and Winclone is a free Max OS utility. It will also restore again to the (larger) new partition. I actually use Winclone as a backup tool for the same scenario, as I cannot get $#@ Win7 backup to work.

Thanks for the advice guys, will let you know how i go along....
