I was thinking that as well but would have liked confirmation and more details. Like was the crew also pretending to be from Kazakhstan? Or were they pretending to be an American crew hired by Borat? Or did he hire a film crew as Borat and even they didn't know he was really Sasha?

Nope. He produced the film and acted in it.
His crew knew who he was.
They'd have to be super daft if they didn't.
You'll see in the YT clip that FiestaST posted. When he crashed a rally and sang on stage, the crowd went for the kill.
He was forced to make a getaway.
They knew who he was.
These 2 men he stayed with for the 5 days, didn't know however.

LOL obviously I meant the film crew at the house when he was in character for like a week, not the rest of the film.

Sacha still looks like himself when acting as Borat.
He didn't disguise himself when he stayed with the 2 guys.
The crew would need to pretty daft to not realise it's him.
I doubt they would use another crew for specific scenes.

Now tell me, why would a film crew hired by Borat have be daft not to know that Borat is actually Sasha?
