Borderlands 2

I just found a lvl15 purple shotgun with 115x18 damage. It uses 4 bullets per shot.

I'm playing a shotgun Zero focusing my skills on damage, accuracy and critical hit damage. His action skill and B0re is also pretty useful with a shotgun.

Let me just say something quick.
Do you guys use all the weapon types or only focus on specific weapon?
Reason I ask because I tend to keep different weapons and I sometimes don't know if I should store , keep or just maybe save it for my other characters.(whom I still need to create)
I mostly prefer Elemental types instead of the norm. I have so many repeaters that I have no idea if I should keep them or what.
I have 2-3 purples.
Just incase I runout out of ammo with other guns. That's my reason on having all the guntypes available.

Something that is starting to annoy me is the lack of fast travel locations in places. I have to spend 20 minutes fighting my way through the map just to finish up some side quest and then I have to trek all the way back to the fast travel point. They should have allowed us to teleport to any fast travel location without having to run all the way back to one. Quitting and reloading the game only works in some places since you jump back to the last save point when reloading which may not necessarily be a fast travel point.

in one 1 I also found it difficult to get rid of stuff, cause they seemed so cool :)

now I focus on SMG's, Assault Rifles, Sniper Rifles and Launchers. I don't like the Shotguns.

I usually keep the ones that obviously has the best attributes.

focusing on just 1 or 2 would really hurt you in the sense of ammo count.
that is mainly why I have 1 of each most of the time equipped, but would change around when in certain battles.

I also used to, in 1, try and have 1 of each weapon for 1 of each elemental type, but now I focus on Acid and Fire.

@SaiyanZ in a sense I agree with you... taking my latest encounter as an example:
had to duke it out with a lvl 19 pyro trasher, and if you have faced those, you would know they can hurt you bad.
it kept on taking me out in like 2-3 hits where it would come up from underneath the ground and do that "nova blast" thing.
now I like my challenges, but in this case ie, it really hurt my ammo count and since there was no shops around,
if I ran out of ammo I would have been screwed.

EDIT- hmmm, and as I type the above post I was wondering about something and wanted to know if it just me:
when you die, you get full ammo or was I seeing things? that would kinda null and void my above post :(

Same, more gun types the better... usually have all damage types represented and spread over a few gun types.

I have an explosive shotgun which I'm favoring at the moment, throw one of those singulaity grenades then jump and shoot at the clump of guys... mass destruction. Mostly roll with sniper rifles though.

So I've been busy playing over the last week. Only lvl21 at the moment. One big difference that I've noticed compared to the first game is the damage on guns and the need to upgrade often. For example. My Jakobs revolvers did around the following damage at the various levels:

lvl5 - 50
lvl10 - 100
lvl15 - 200
lvl20 - 400

So the damage increases quite fast with levels. It is easy to fall behind with things and the game thus becoming tough if you don't find a good weapon often. In the first game I used a lvl25 gun from lvl25 all the way to lvl50. The damage increase was quite low as the levels increased.

should be posting some GOLDEN KEYs on Twitter for some Halloween Skins today, so check it out.

The DLC character, Gaige has some really fun overpowered skills. Anarchy + Close Up = whole room full of enemies dead in one shot from and explosive shotgun with x18 bullets. You do +700% damage with full anarchy, and half of your bullets will bounce off the walls and floors and home in on enemies. Fun fun fun. No need to aim. I've sometimes killed 5 enemies with one shot.

Hey guys, any of you perhaps know how I can check my fps in this game. Works slowing down this time of year, so I play and hour or to everyday at work:whistle: on my crappy laptop (i5, 4gb ram, Gefroce gt 520m) Just want to fiddle a bit with the graphics settings to see what gives me the best fps

did a coop with 2 other guys and came across saturn... he was lvl 30 and we were lvl 21, 24, 25. It took us near to 40 mins to kill him. was insane.

I'm a bit confused here. I've got the "Premiere Club Additional Content" addition of Borderlands 2, but my Steam hasn't downloaded any DLC. Supposedly the 'Necromancer' should be included...?

Make sure that the dlc shows up on your steam content & the 'downloadable content' menu in-game. Just remember for the premier club, you have to add it via "redeem code" in steam or it won't show up. Took me a while to figure that out, cos it's not installed with the game :)

Thanks Jimmy, this solved it for me. I never activated the code that came with the voucher ;)
