Just got it. Apparently it's been flying off the shelves all day long. I got the last one. Just waiting for it to install. What are your thoughts on it?
 
This is the last ****ing time I buy an original game. Ever! FFS. I got an error upon install and I had to go look for a fix and manually fix it. I hate that. Can't developers just release a ****ing decent game for once where you can just pop the disc in, install and play?
I'm still waiting for Activision to release a patch for Prototype so I can play it without lag or stuttering sound...
If the developers don't wanna support PC gamers anymore, I won't buy their **** anymore.
 
Thats why I bought the console version, pc version sounds buggy as hell, not to mention it was developed on console and ported (badly) to PC.
 
Looks cool,just not a bit fan of the cell shade style graphics but was watching my mate play it and I think I'll give it a go.
 
The same thing with GTA 4. I paid R400 for it, and I can't play it because it's a terrible port.

Borderlands- R400, had to fix the problems with the game they developed myself.
GTA 4- R400, can't play because it's a crap port.
Prototype - R400, still waiting for a patch that's never likely to come. Unable to play the game without the patch.

Total: R1200 of we screwed you over dearest consumer.

I disagree with gta4 It works very well on my pc.
 
I played Borderlands a bit. Somehow it reminds me of Hellgate more than Fallout, but only this time, it's fun. Unlike that atrocity called Hellgate. *Shudder*
 
This game is excellent fun, but i think multiplayer is where it shines. Without multiplayer you're only experienceng half of the fun.
 
Don't know WTF Graal and Grimspoon are talking about, the pc version has absolutely no errors on my side and is as smooth as butter. Been playing co-op non stop since I got it yesterday with one of my clan members. I still don't understand why people these days always blame the developers if a game doesn't work on their pc ,straight out of the box.

Now I know GTA IV was a terrible port, but the newest patches for it, does improve it considerbly. My GTA IV also never gave me any issues and ran actually quite good as well, whereas 80% of all PC players had problems or it ran crap on their pc's.
 
There is nothing wrong with the game itself. The install just doesn't always run on everybody's PCs. I had to go look for a fix on the internet. I hate when I have to do that when I just payed R400 for a game. The developers should ensure that this doesn't happen.
 
I am playing it at the moment, awesome fun. Gets really interesting having to kill 3 bad@$$es + all their buddies at the same time with only 2 players. Hoping to play more this weekend though
 
Bone Head was just having a slaughter fest with me until I shot one of his buddies and leveled up. He didn't look so chirpy after that :p
 
Epic game, being running around with 2 people mowing down mobs. Only problem this side is constantly running into lvl18 raiders when we're only lvl14, takes like 20 mins to kill one, great fun :>

i had the same problem with sound but i changed the frequency in my realtek control panel to i think it was 44100Hz or 48000Hz (try both), i dont know about the lag problem.

Game works perfect for me and all 3 of my friends that bought it day of release! We've been loving the co-op. AWESOME GAME!!! WORTH EVERY CENT!
