Hi guys,
I am asking on behalf of a friend, recently they went to the dentist for a rotten tooth, but the dentist said that they could not do it and referred them to a surgeon that could. The dentist then continued to put in fillings and clean their teeth. This was at a private institution.
* During this time, it seems like the dentist fused two teeth together with fillings and food is getting trapped in the gap between the two teeth, making it very hard to clean resulting in tooth ache. My friend says that they cannot floss any more.
* During the checkup, they placed a device against my friend's face leaving a burn mark/blister. When they saw the burn, they asked why they didn't bring it up, but he said that he couldn't because his mouth was full of tools. My friend has taken photos of the scarring developing over the past few days.
* My friend said that it was overall a very negative experience for him as by the end of it he felt very angry, he felt like he was choking on saliva, a cotton ball almost rolled to the back of his throat and the dentist/assistant seemed preoccupied with other things, even dropping some tools and not cleaning them(I am not a dentist/doctor so I don't know how serious these things are).
If the teeth that are fused together are a problem, is there a way we can claim the money back for a poorly done job and injury? I know we should report this to someone as well, but I am not sure who to?
He has another appointment booked next week at the facial surgeon and will ask if there is something wrong with the teeth and can get advice from there
