Botha's action reported again

Lets go through the guys who have been called in the last few years:

Shoaib Akhtar vs Aus
Murali twice vs Aus
Malinga vs Aus
Botha twice vs Aus
Marlon Samuels vs Aus

See the common factor in all of those.;)

They will test again and probably find he is within 15 degrees. Murali had to go throw this same ****. The aussies don't like it when a certain bowler has it over them.

+1. Bad sportsmen :p

Surprised they have not called chucker Johnson yet :)

Johnson's action is legit. Tait's on the other hand...

There's nothing wrong with either of their actions. Both have a slingy delivery, Tait esp. But there's no flexing/straightening of the arm which is the problem.

Both these bowlers bowl within the laws 95% of the time, I saw Tait bend his arm in the pro20 in Aus and I saw Johnson more than once clearly bending his elbow. But then again I was not sitting there measuring the degrees :)

I just hope Botha gets cleared as I think it will really take a bit out of him to go train again for a year or longer to get it right. Also then we will 10-1 lose him for the Pro20 WC later this year :(

Bastards!!! It's ironic how sledging of epic proportions from the likes of the Waugh brothers, Warne and McGrath etc over the years is deemed within the regulations of the sport but Botha's bowling action is not!!! Ridiculous!!!

The umpires - one of them Brian Jerling - in PE reported him, not the Aussies.

No Asoka Da Silva reported him. I wouldn't be surprised this happened after one of the aussies had a word with him.

Fact remains players are only getting reported in games were the aussies are involved and usually its the bowlers who are troubling them. Where there's smoke there's fire imho.

Well then he must be guilty... He has played a fortune of cricket this season, wonder why his action has only come to light now?

He did go for a bit of tap in his first spell, the only time this summer he really has. He may have put slightly more effort and straightened his arm a couple of times. The fact they didn't no-ball him suggests they may just want his action looked at again.

They can't no ball players anymore because there's no way the human eye can see whether its within 15 degrees or slightly over.

I'm told that it was reported on the East Coast Radio this morning that his action has been cleared & that the umps have apologised.
