Same. Got a bluray player for a bargain frommakro sale tent. After software upgrade dead player (common issue). LG fixed it at no cost (tobe fair within warranty) and got remote cheap. Still playing and just did latest software upgrade. Only hassle is that netflix disconnected whilst std in US :(
