Bovril vs Marmite

One of our favourite meals is, cooking boerewors in a pan, taking the wors out and then making a marmite sauce, which we eat on bread. delicious

You explicitly mentioned taking the boerewors out of the pan ... but you did not mention putting the sandwich on a plate ... I am confused! :D

I read this yesterday and was like :wtf: ..... then I tried it last night and wow, it's awesome! :D

So it sounded odd but you tried it anyway ? :)
 
Both are good, specially with biltong powder, cheese or polony.
 
The trick with bovril is you have to spread it really thin if you can't handle the taste. Bovril is really strong so don't spread it the same as any other spread - otherwise no wonder you think it is yuck.
 
letfover pizza the next day yeah ..... dip it into the bovril = yummy

Anyone ever try Peanut butter, Apricot jam and marmite/bovril on bread?

After removing the wors from the pan and putting it aside on a plate, I add a large spoonful of marmite to the wors sauce left in the pan, then I stir the marmite in, while the sauce simmers for about 3 minutes, I get plates out, on each plate goes two slices of bread, and a piece of boerewors, I then fetch the pan with the marmite sauce and liberally soak the bread slices with the sauce, I put the pan aside and then dig in to my food - yum-yum yum-yum ;)
