Ended how it should. Ngannou still knows he would moer AJ in the cage if that would ever happen .

Yes, but boxers are smarter and won't step into the cage. It's the MMA guys that tend to believe they can cross over and beat a boxer at their own game.

Even back to the earlier days of legit mixed martial arts where fighters from different backgrounds were pitted against one another, boxers got their asses kicked. First time they got kicked or taken to the ground it was panic stations.

MMA and boxing are vastly different disciplines. Not easy to cross over in either direction. Kickboxing and MMA perhaps, but not boxing.

Also what a knockout by AJ. His accuracy is good. Guard was up for his opponent and it just did not matter. Pinpoint accuracy.

Found it interesting that one of the knockouts wasnt even direct, it glanced off the shoulder first.
Goes to show that full power isnt necessary, just the right location

"Precision beats power, timing beats speed." - Conor McGregor.

if you think about it, an MMA fighter trains
- boxing
- kickboxing
- muai thai
- wrestling
- grappling

so call it 20% of training going to boxing (I would argue less because its more kickboxing in MMA)

put that against someone who trains just boxing 100% of the time. never gonna stand a chance. its SAAIENCE!

Also, you fight how you train. An MMA fighter throws a punch to set up a kick, a clinch or a take down. Those tendencies will remain for a loooooong time, hence the MMA fighter in a boxing match will be full of holes to exploit.

Crossing over to boxing from MMA is just not going to work.

But, for a boxer to learn extra skills will be much easier.

its part of the reason why traditional wrestlers are good at crossing over into MMA and usually fight dominant hand forward. They already have a strong base and stability from years of wrestling... it actually gives them more power in their strikes especially punches.

Wrestling is also strong side in front for shooting take downs, as a result alot of MMA fighters from wrestling are "right handed southpaws" and "left handed orthodox" fighters

Nuts. Doesn’t even make sense. Haney beats Loma, miniTank beats Garcia, Garcia beats Haney. How?
Remember when i said the fix was in for loma vs haney...
this fight proved that hes a protected fighter

We all also knew that garcia was not his best when he fought tank, because he was drained with a rehydration clause.

All makes sense now

Real pity that fixing has ruined it. Boxing is such an incredibly difficult sport to be really good at.

Rewatched the previous fights last night.
Haney fought well against Loma. Same can be said for Tank against Garcia. Out of the 3 fights I’d say Garcia and Haney did not look themselves in the fights they lost but Haney fought well against Loma.

ja but did he beat him?

single body shots mostly vs plenty of combos... even the Loma vs Teo fight was similar. Haney adopted a similar strategy

the scores were evidence that the fix was in. Haney has been a protected fighter since he got a belt via email

Belt via email.
You are not wrong re: scoring. Just noting that Haney put on a good fight. Those body shots looked brutal.

for reals... look into it... he got the WBC lightweight belt because he asked for it... never ever won it.

There was no need for loma to even fight him.
but u know... boxing is a marketing machine and who wants to market a 30 odd year old "russian" MURICA!

as for brutal... i dunno hey... haney has -50 punching power. and it was proven in this fight. IF his body shots were so brutal, they would have stopped loma piecing him up with combos in the later rounds.

also this...

like i said, the fix was in... real ones dont get due credit in boxing. but ja... boxing
