expected result. I never ever believed that tyson was going to be able to adjust to beat usyk in the rematch.

When being able to survive gets praised, it just goes to show how overrated british and amerobums are by the media especially

Tyson could always make up for his many technical flaws with his size and reach. But as is always the case...

LEVELS.

I am feel, i am werry feel. :)

Usyk should ride off into the sunset as the one who made HW great again. He's got nothing left to prove. the haters can cry more.

We wont see a talent of his likes in a long time

Watched a few YouTube videos of Mike Tyson taking down big talkers and egos.

Tyson was a monster, i'm no expert but he had great technique, hard punches and just kept coming. Great to watch.

absolutely spoilt this weekend
smith vs buatsi was a good fight to watch, I struggled to figure out buatsi strategy, but both put in a great effort and smith looked pretty good.

bivol and beterbiev was a joy to watch. Fight swung a few times, almost the opposite of the first though, beterbiev looked menacing in the beginning, bivol came alive towards the end. Lightning fast, punishing counters and incredible skill.
He did look absolutely gassed at the end of the 12th, but good decision.

I almost dont want the rematch though, beterbiev in my opinion is unlikely to do better in 8 months or so

So how many knockouts did butterbean, himself, suffer?

I saw only 2.... one of whom was the kick-boxer who appears to have uncovered butterbean's weakness (his legs).

Perhaps he would have had a better record by sticking to boxing, but then again he was no purest.

He mostly fought undercards for bigger fights. His gimmick was his weight (which got him on TV in the first place) so he probably felt he had to keep it that way.

As @Willie Trombone said, his opponents weren't exactly the greatest. He obviously had natural talent and might have been a title-contender if he started training earlier and lost some weight. Or he could have ended up a 54th ranked heavyweight nobody remembers.

Loved watching his fights with my dad as a kid. Entertaining as hell. Anyway, the video popped up on my feed and I learned a lot more about the guy.

Legend IMO.

@lexity An idea of the skill gap:

Yes. I see what you mean.

Just watching that, it's amazing how much physical abuse the human body can take before falling down.

Peak physical condition being a non-neg ofc.

Btw, IIRC, that "Iron" Mike Tyson had an aggression -inducing psyche-drug in his system at the time of the ear-biting incidents.

He may/may not have been able to sue, because the manufacturer of Prozac was forced to put the warnings on the label. Don't recall the specifics but Tyson was or had been on Prozac at that time. Same drug that school/mass shooters had been on.

Watching that burying of the hatchet between Holyfield and Tyson, it comes across very cringe. Don't think I'd be so forgiving.

Really enjoyed this fight, was intense every round, full on war.
Almost every bell and clinch they were throwing words at each other. Somewhere near the end of round 8 they just starting holding their ground and pummelling each other and this continued pretty much till the end & they looked exhasited. Was surprised to see Eunank snr. chatting to Benn in the ring after.
