According to Barbalich the demand has surpassed their expectations. “The product has been around for 6 months with Engen and 1 month with Pick n Pay. We continue to see over 100% growth each month on sales as more and more people are becoming aware of the product,” says Barbalich.
Axxess is also planning to add 5 new nationwide distributors to the current Engen and Pick ‘n Pay distribution channels.
While monthly usage limits remain low and ISPs are restrained to reselling ADSL bandwidth per-GB these products are likely to gain in popularity. ISPs like Axxess have not only made the most of a lucrative business opportunity, but they are also making it as easy as possible for people to stay connected.
Bread, Milk and Bandwidth
Do these purchases expire at the end of the month or do they roll over?My TelkomInternet account can be topped up using my credit card without the need to buy a new PPPoE username and password...![]()
All additional bandwidth purchased in a particular month will be available in the same month of purchase only and will be forfeited when the new calendar month starts. Therefore additional bandwidth purchased cannot be transferred from one month to the next.
Do these purchases expire at the end of the month or do they roll over?
EDIT -
That's why I prefer Axxess' prepaid over telkom's latest abomination.Axxess's prepaid rolls over, with that I have no problem, and can surf all relaxed until everything's used, no need to try and cram a lot of downloads in before the end of the month.

The way I see it, Telkom is costing this country's citizens more than just an arm and a leg for bandwidth. We have to spend extra on petrol to drive to go buy these stupid vouchers if we are making a special trip for that purpose, plus because downloads take forever to finish on a 384kbps ADSL pipe, it costs 384k users extra in electricity bills because we have to leave our PCs running day and night to finish large downloads!!</rant>
Not sure I follow u there, but the deed is done as Eskom have a nice reason to increase electricity prices next year, due to the energy shortageInteresting thought. So Telkom should lend Eskom a few billion to upgrade their network, seeing that Telkom have no interest in theirs.
