Hi

I'm in a 24-month telkom contract on a 2mbps line and 10gigs a month for 499 we have had it for 3 months ho much would it cost to cancel this. And if it is possible to upgrade or change this.

Thanks

Cancelling will be expensive.

They will probably allow you to upgrade, say more GBs but they will probably not allow you to go lower...

Call them, if you are not sure about what your contract states.

Cost of breaking the contract, I cannot answer. You'll have to talking to a telkom shop about that.

As far as upgrading the package, I'm sure that Telkom will do so within the existing contract as it is to their benefit as well. Next time, don't take the free modem :)

Errodr1001,

You are not going to get the answer you were looking for by asking here. You might get some advice, some might even be good.

I will dispense my 2c now :-)

Use your logic...

The best place to get the information you want is at the party with whom you concluded the contract.
Ask them what the cancellation fees would be for now, in 6 months time, in 12 months time, and 18 months time.
They can't be mad at you if you ask. So don't be afraid.

That should give you enough information to go to the next step>

You must decide when the cost they supply you will be bearable to pay to get out of the contract.

And use this as a learning experience. "School fees"

Do your research before hand.
If you then feel signing a contract is worth while, then by all means go ahead.
Don't go searching for better deals after the fact. Be content with the deal you made - because when you made it, you had good reason to do so.

Be happy. This is a minor event and you will survive the 24 months.
The worst is it could cost you a bit more than other connection methods.
Such is life.

There is more important things in life, so enjoy life. You only live once.

Good luck mate.
