Breaking Bad over... Now what :/

Pretty much. Virtually sci fi.

Huh? What Person of Interest are you watching? PoI is pretty much this whole NSA Scandal come to life in series form. There was a movie with Will Smith/Gene Hackman , Enemy of the State that is probably not far off . So i wouldn't call it "sci fi" , i would call it "Hi-Tech Espionage Thriller" .

Either way, i wouldn't see it as a Breaking Bad replacement though. PoI is much more like Alias/CSI/Nikita/Mentalist/24 . Still a great series though.

I just find the idea that a machine using surveillance to predict future crimes to be more fiction than reality. But its done well and I can suspend disbelief long enough to enjoy it.

Awesome :p

Anthony Hopkins Gushes Over 'Breaking Bad' Star Bryan Cranston in Fan Letter

Just over two weeks after the AMC drama aired its series finale, a letter surfaced that Hopkins wrote to star Bryan Cranston, in which he gushes over the actor's performance. Hopkins says he just finished watching a marathon of all five seasons of the show (he refers to a sixth season, but the fifth season was actually split into two).

Dear Mister Cranston.

I wanted to write you this email – so I am contacting you through Jeremy Barber – I take it we are both represented by UTA . Great agency.

I’ve just finished a marathon of watching “BREAKING BAD” – from episode one of the First Season – to the last eight episodes of the Sixth Season. (I downloaded the last season on AMAZON) A total of two weeks (addictive) viewing.

I have never watched anything like it. Brilliant!

Your performance as Walter White was the best acting I have seen – ever.

I know there is so much smoke blowing and sickening bull**** in this business, and I’ve sort of lost belief in anything really.

But this work of yours is spectacular – absolutely stunning. What is extraordinary, is the sheer power of everyone in the entire production. What was it? Five or six years in the making? How the producers (yourself being one of them), the writers, directors, cinematographers…. every department – casting etc. managed to keep the discipline and control from beginning to the end is (that over used word) awesome.

From what started as a black comedy, descended into a labyrinth of blood, destruction and hell. It was like a great Jacobean, Shakespearian or Greek Tragedy.

If you ever get a chance to – would you pass on my admiration to everyone – Anna Gunn, Dean Norris, Aaron Paul, Betsy Brandt, R.J. Mitte, Bob Odenkirk, Jonathan Banks, Steven Michael Quezada – everyone – everyone gave master classes of performance … The list is endless.

Thank you. That kind of work/artistry is rare, and when, once in a while, it occurs, as in this epic work, it restores confidence.

You and all the cast are the best actors I’ve ever seen.

That may sound like a good lung full of smoke blowing. But it is not. It’s almost midnight out here in Malibu, and I felt compelled to write this email.

Congratulations and my deepest respect. You are truly a great, great actor.

Best regards

Tony Hopkins.

I only finished watching BB last night, watched all five seasons in a single month, not happy with all the loose ends at the final scene...

Did Jesse escape?where did he go to?
Is Walt dead?
Did Skyler go to jail?
Did Gretchen and her Hubby pay the money into a trust for Walt's kids?
What happens to Hanks wife?
What happens to Saul in Nebraska?
What happened to Sauls two hard men?
Does Walts boy follow in his Dad's footsteps?
What was the point of Hank's wife being a kleptomaniac?
Where and what happened to Walt's stolen millions?
If sombody phoned you and told you that the flu symptoms you were suffering from was due to Ricin, would't u rush to hospital?
Is Mike really dead? His body was never recovered or melted?

In closing, the producers have left the finale wide open for a "rebirth" in a few years..

It's better to leave some things to one's own imagination :p

All we know is. The ending was EPIC!
