The girlfriend wants to get the procedure done and I was hoping somebody could give me some advice on where we should start and if possible, any recommended practitioners in the Gauteng area that we can contact?

Thanks

Not the guy from Carte Blance. Your mD can refer you. Preferably get a specialist that works from a hospital... not one of these residential clinic one stop plastic shops.

*edit spellling on this phone is a disaster.

Up to a point. Some of the elite athletes also complain about pain.
Simona Halep being a very good case and point. Rocketed up the rankings after reduction surgery and curren world #2 behind that Williams dude.
Btw, she also said she would have had it done if she wasn't an athlete.

What other options are available? Besides exercise that has been mentioned previously.

Thing is surgery is permanent. There's no taking it back. Definitely try things like diet and exercise first.

The surgery will even affect her ability to breast feed later in life. Meaning children will be on formula and lose out on mom's antibodies.

Core exercises. Her back is probably taking strain because her core is not strong enough to support her back.

Cutting should be a last resort

Can always get implants if you don't like the reduction . Just kidding.

She's pretty set on having the operation done though, it's something she says she's considered since high school, she's 28 now.

I think as much as it's about the physical problems it causes it's also a confidence thing, as she's very self-conscious about it.

Then tell her to have kids first so they don't suffer. There are plenty studies about kids that aren't breast that are more susceptible to certain diseases and allergies.
