Ok, I know this might seem weird or whatever, but it is serious, or at least, serious to a friend and since he can't find anything online, so I thought I'd ask here.

His GF had a breast reduction (end of November last year), minus scars and such, he has noticed that her one breast is 'colder' than the other breast (it's warmer)

At first, he thought maybe it was because she was 'lying' on it, but today while in the kitchen, he asked if he could check and it's still the same, the left breast is colder than the right breast.

I personally suggested goto a doctor and just have it checked out, but financially, they can't afford that (Unless they really have too).

I checked online, and sites (especially related to breast cancer) say that if you notice anything 'irregular' you should have it checked out.

Ladies... comments/suggestions?

Guys, If I can ask, refrain from the jokes please.

Well, since noone's replying, I'll do you a favour and ask my girlfriend what she thinks.
Tell her to go to a clinic if need be, but at least have a gp have a look and give her a breast examination if he thinks it's necessary.
I wouldn't be that worried though, as surgery sometimes have funny results which you aren't told about.

Have you felt his girlfriend yourself?

Maybe his hands are different temperatures. Ask him if you can second his opinion - then seek medical advice if one is colder.

i think it would be best to go to the dr to just make sure, but im sure its nothing serious. Maybe she just has bad blood circulation as in the case of cold hands and feet....

I won't try doing it myself... but SHE did feel after and even she noticed it is 'colder' and 'warmer' - but she's not really to worried - the BF/Friend however is.

The funny thing is, Googling "Breast Cancer" brings up a interesting thought, many woman don't NOTICE and it goes by for ages before being found and then being a problem.

I knew a woman who had this done but lost touch with her through out the years.

Unless there is discoloration I wouldn't be to worried. But get to the doc that did the OP just to be sure.

Maybe you should warm your hand up and cop another feel. Just to be sure. You can never be too sure. You might as well feel both. But with the same hand.
Hey, don't you work with fire? I think thats your problem right there. All this time fighting fires! Your tempreture's surely all messed up. You should let someone else give it a shot!

They normally do a scan. There's one for woman under 30 years and a different one if they over 30. I'm not sure why this is. Can't remember.

Gdiza, instead of making a doctor's appointment, why don't they just phone the doctor? In most instances your local GP will perhaps give advice without an examination. A good GP will only ask her to come in for an quick check if he suspects it may be symptoms of something worth checking out.

If he suggests she rather sees him for examination, then she should consider doing so, it's one thing to stay away from a dr because you have a cold or flu or something, but it's a whole new ballgame when it comes to an irregularity such as this...it could pose a potential risk.

I'm sure however if it's nothing to worry about the doctor will say so over the telephone....

Isn't it because the heart is on one side of the body - i.e. heating that side up a bit more than the other side?

Unless it's a large diffrence in temperature, I don't even think I'd notice ...

There shouldnt be anything wrong.
May it you hands:p

But the temperature will depend on the blood flow, no blood flow they would turn blue and fall off.

So until that happens you safe.

To me it sounds like a blood flow problem, but what do I know.
My wife is going to see a specialist this weekend RE breast reduction. In my opinion its far worse than implants etc as they cut away at tissue. Dr90210 programme showed the op being done and I'm totally against it.

Hi, my wife had the op done 12yrs ago and it only effects the ability to produce milk and sensitivity (feeling).

A womans breasts have their own climate control system - they can heat up and cool down very fast. Its an instinct to keep babies warm when feeding / sleeping. The lack of sensitivity can caused the breasts thermostat to be off balance.

But medical advice is always recommended. Most chemists have sister at very reasonable rates (R100 - R150).

Hmm! I'm a breast man myself! :D
