Well not quite bricked but pretty damn close.
I use my Nuvi in the same place most people do, in the car attached to a charger that connects to the cigarette lighter socket.
Lately the charger hasn't seemed to be making good contact and I battle to get the red light lit to indicate the Garmin is connected to power.
In any event today the red light went on and off flashing between red and green and generally upsetting the Garmin confusing it between its own battery power and vehicle power.
The net result is the Garmin shut off completely.
I got it home and connected it to the pc to try revive it but to no avail, until I connected it to my pc via the 2nd usb port at the back of the unit. The Garmin switched on and operated as usual. I even updated the software on the unit.
I took it back to my vehicle and connected it successfully to my car charger via this 2nd usb port only for it to die a couple of hours later as the charger started its tricks once again.
So now the Garmin is dead again but all attempts including resetting have failed to revive her.
Any advise??!!
