Hi Guys,

A standard Firmware mishap has taken the order of the day.

One of our users' MTN X602D 3G devices ran a firmware updater, and as fate would have it, the laptop's battery died during flash, bricking the device. It turns on witha red light, but [-]Curtains[/-] Windows seems to moan that the device is misbehaving, and it does not wish to communicate with its mothership.

SOOOO... By any chance, does someone perhaps have a flash file and a way to flash the device?

Device is an MTN / Alcatel X602D-2AMNZA3

TIA!

Eish, just buy a new one and save yourself the headache, they are cheap enough. I would suggest rather buying a LTE modem instead of going with another "stick" modem, they are always full of nonsense and don't last long.

I wish I had that luxurious option. We have about 30 of these little devices for the guys to abuse on site. LTE modem wouldn't last a day. And besides, they don't have power on site. The bakkie's front seat becomes the office.

Really cheesed off that this was so easy to happen, but what can you do...

Oh well, to the round-top filing cabinet it is!

Oh I see, I just went through my old 3G modems here at the office and actually found a X602D stick. LOL :D

If you ever need one just let me know.

Rather buy a new one. Free yourself from the stress of locating the right firmware.
