Hi

I am interested in preparing the following setup, however, please let me know if it is possible. I also may need some support...

I would like to move to a bridge connection. In doing this I would like my PC to automatically "dial-in" to ISP1 between certain hours, and ISP2 between other hours, using a connection manager.

Please let me know if this possible.

Regards
Aharon

I don't know of any software in Windows capable of doing what you want. Linux would be more than capable of doing that with cron jobs :)
You can try using the `rasdial` command-line application in Windows to dial and disconnect the PPPoE connections. If you can dial and disconnect with it, then simply add those entries to the windows task scheduler.

Alternatively, buy a broadband router capable of dialing multiple PPPoE connections that supports scripting, which you then chain with your existing ADSL router (which has to be in bridge mode). Gatecrasher already gave scripts for doing this kind of alternative ISP setup with an Axxess 626 account on a Linksys WRT54GL router with DD-WRT firmware.
I haven't done it myself, but the MikroTik routers should also be capable of switching between ISP accounts at different times in the day without too much hassle. All you'll need to do is to setup both accounts and then schedule 2 simple scripts to switch between the accounts.
You can get hold of a MikroTik RB750 for R325 ex VAT from Scoop Distributions. I prefer the MikroTik above the other routers since they're cheap and easy to configure with WinBox (GUI configuration tool).

If you want assistance with regards to placing your own router in bridge mode, then you'll have to give us the name of your router :)
