I have 2 routers that need to open their own PPPoE connections through an ADSL line.

Now back in the day when ADSL modems were just that and not modem/router/ap/hub combos this was easy - but I can't seem to find any pure ADSL modems anymore.

Can anyone suggest a good model to look at?

All of the Billion models have modem/router functionality. Just put your router in Bridge mode and then let Windows manage your connections. Works the same as "dial up". Log on session and when you done logg off again!!

Didnt want to put up the website.

Thought it would be considerd spam? (not accusing you Snorrie ;) )

Is it more an Off Topic thing?

Billion routers work great in both modes.

Why not go for a Billion 5200s, Great value for money!

Try to check out the billion routers aswell, can also go into bridge mode.
Was trying to find info on that as well - so that is handy to know... We've got a Telkom ADSL 5102G aka Billion already.

Seems a pity to throw away the router and ap functionality of it and just have it in bridged mode though.

Surely you can't have an external router connected to a modem in bridge mode and have the internal router and wireless ap still working?

Sorry I have no idea, just ? becauce I didnt understand.

Can a modem be in bridge mode, thought bridge mode lets the router act as a modem

netgear dg834 (and variations) has bridge mode. never had any problems with mine (in bridge mode right now)
