I have 2 fresh level 80's

Both with 25 completed quests ready for hand-in on release day +- 750k exp

I also have about 100 poison vials / waterlogged recipes on my banker ready for the big day. +- 1.5milj exp (level 70 wotlk quest gives about 15k exp per quest).

Will we start with rested exp, i cant remember if we did when WOTLK came out.

Does anyone know what the exp per level needed will be from 80 - 85?

I've also heard a rumour that with patch 4.0.3 the 70 - 80 exp needed might be scaled down, anyone know if that is true?
 
still need to do my quests etc, but my new main don't have cooking for watterlogged, just have to do without it lol

AFAIK you won't...unless you wait 1-2 days before leveling after cata's release

Last time I spoke to a friend in the beta was a couple months ago, he mentioned 3-5 days (minus sleep)

From my friend in the beta. Leveling can be done fast, perhaps two days with no sleep. 3/5 is a bit much. Poison vials for what? You are not going to see the same xp gain from handing in those vials.

do the recipes and vials even give experience? seeing as they sorta equivalent to daily quests? do daily quests give experience? cant remember

If you're lower level they do, but they will not be efficient enough to level you higher in the 80-85 bracket.
 
even if they give 5k exp per 1, still 500k just lying there - and 5k exp quests are in the level 45 - 50 range, so i recond they will be more.

Nope, they are not daily quests, they are and in and repeat quests
 
bag from the fishing daily, you can get either the poison vials or the waterlogged recipe

Which 25 quests did you decide on, considering they give varying XP rewards.
 
some post on wowhead says they did not give exp in the beta only cash and rep, but wowhead say they still do, will have to wait and see.

if no exp, atleast i have 25k extra gold
 
i have 12 dungeon quests, (they each give atleast 40k exp and) and 13 icecrown quests (when i handed these before i reached 80, they where in the 25 - 30k range) on my warrior and all icecrown quests on my shaman.

i know heirloom gear does not grow after level 80, but does still give the 10% exp bonus?
 
Instead of getting my single level 80 prepped for the mad rush to 80 I am busy with my farewell tour of classic WoW.

I don't have enough time to get my Loremaster of Kalimdor/Eastern Kingdom finished but I reckon I should be able to get Exalted with all 5 Classic factions before Cataclysm hits.

It has been fun clearing quests in Teradessil and Darkshore, especially considering that they will be a little different come 7 December.
 
ha! nice one on mentioning teldrassil!! I need 24 quests for my loremaster, and havent been back there in ages! cheers for that :)
 
it used to be that there were more quests needed for the loremaster achievement, I think 15 more for the kalimdoor, and like 50(?) more for eastern kingdoms. eastern kingdoms is well easy though

theres also an addon called 'lightheaded' that shows up next to ur questlog that shows whatever quest you are clicked on's full quest chain. its not on curse, only available on wow-ace.com

If you have 25 quests in your quest log now, then you cant do anymore quests until the expansion........Including the weekly raid, the daily pvp, the quests which are made available as part of the events leading up to the expansion. A bit silly.

On the Sunday before you can easily fill your quest log on more than character...
 
I see the BT stores will be open from 10 pm on the 6th. Do we still have to wait for 12 before we can get the games or can we go home and install it so long?
