Britain has 'no money left'

Actually Zimbabwe is a great case in point. Do you know how the bailout works? These governments are printing money to pay their debts, the inevitable end of which is a devalued currency. (see Weimar Republic, Zimbabwe)

The primary difference is that the Tory's are unlikely to sabotage their most profitable economic areas in the name of racial purity.

Lets be honest, this point was enevitable the moment labour got into power, now the conservatives get to clean up the mess.

Aside from all ideologies and on a purely economic level the fact remains that many of the large economies are in a serious crisis. The europeans chose to follow the american model with the bailouts which is going to, at the very least, cause those currencies to crash.

A natural consequence of having a floating currency. Pegging your currency (which is what Zim tried to do) leads black market trading, and forex shortages which further undermines the real economy.

The minor rise out of recession that everyone talks about was because governments spent large amounts of money getting deeper into debt. What happens next? Theres no more money.

The corrupt politicians and banksters pillage and rape country after country and some people still blame "them 3rd world immigrants". Hillarious. Mightly powerful unskilled workers these, they can bring down trillion dollar economies with little to no effort.

I think it was the UK only. Europe seems to be doing better with the exception of Greece, Portugal, Spain, Italy & Ireland. France, Germany and the Northern European countries (- Iceland) are in the dwang but not as deeply as the UK.

So it's the UK only except for the long list of other countries you mentioned?? :wtf:
Kinda contradicting yourself there.

It’s not a ‘long list of countries’ FFS. Its 6 of the worse affected. Do you know how many countries there are in Europe? It is only the UK which is in lockstep with America. The rest of Europe doesn’t think the sun shines from America’s arse (like the UK). They have often disagreed strongly with America (to USA annoyance). You get used to having things your own way.

Slightly **contradicting** yourself there.

If you insist on using big-boy words, learn their meaning.

well you said uk ONLY which would exclude ANY other country... so yes, contradicting yourself is the appropriate "big boy" term for it.
The Big-Boy economies are the ones in Big-Boy trouble and they are the ones that Big-Boy count.

p.s i didn't actually insult you, so i'm not sure why you felt the need to be insulting.. whatever.

You do realise you've included around a quarter of the EU in your list dude? Most of whom until fairly recently were considered "economic centres " for want of a better description

... and what's with the rabid anti-americanism? thought this was a thread about the Briteesh running out of moola?

Didn't France and Germany exit the recession officially last year already?

To the best of my knowledge, it **IS** the UK only of the European cluster of countries. Or do you know different?

I’m not being insulting. Within the context of your post ‘exaggerate’ would be a more correct term. ‘Contradict’ is gainsaying (opposing my own assertion).

Greece is in the EU is it not? Greece is being bailed out a-la America, as is Spain (also experiencing a credit crash at the moment) - so i'm really not sure what you're getting at...

I'm just glad I live in a country with a thriving economy with loads of potential for future growth. Not a strangulated , over saturated one like the U.K. Watch the quality of life slide even lower there that already sad state of affairs (Can you imagine ?). Pitiful.

Surely if the EU has decided to move forward with the bailout plan then all countries within the EU are following the same bailout model? An unfortunate consequence of this type of union is that the [-]better off[/-] better managed countries are going to have to carry the rest in bad times.
