Today i came across ITV Choice Africas Facebook page and saw that they posted the following link

BritBox announces global expansion plan

BBC Studios and ITV today announce their intention to roll out BritBox globally which could see the streaming platform expanding to up to 25 countries worldwide.

Sadly this does NOT confirm anything but I'm sure this fills some of us with hope of it launching here.
With its recent launch in the UK and soon Australia and the recent events around DSTV removing both BBC First and ITV Choice its becoming more and more likely to launch in SA

US = $6.99/pm
CAN = $8.99/pm

The South African launch date and pricing for BBC Studios and iTV’s BritBox video streaming service have been revealed.

Will need to be cheaper. Most of the content is on the iplayer, ITV Hub, and All4 already.
 
Will content be the same though?

Look at Netflix for example, different country, different content.
 
Whats everyone's favourite VPN for doing just this?
Been generally happy with beebs.io -- a chrome extension costs a few quid a month (think 40-50 zar).
But always interested in alternatives

They do ask if you have a tv license.

I use a smart DNS service. Why route all of your traffic through one country when you don't need to. We can watch US Netfix and BBC at the same time we're watching DSTV Now or Showmax.

There probably will be differences
but maybe not as bad as netflix as it seems ITV especially is taking there licences away from DSTV

R59 - R89 would be decent value

SmartDNS didn’t work for me. Support couldn’t assist either. Windscribe with exclusions works decently enough

Nah will definitely be cheaper, I'm guessing somewhere between R59.99 and R99.99 pm
