I'm sure they've been mentioned before, in case not:

Foyles War
Spooks
Last Tango in Halifax
Endeavour
Broadchurch
Line of Duty

All pretty good. Bold were my fav.

Add to that Life on Mars, Ashes to Ashes

British telly going on a Bowie binge? :D

Totally lol. Loved the intros as much as the series :D
Life on Mars was re-done as a US series too - was very popular. I still loved the UK series. Some good acting in that and the blast from the past with the Audi Quattro in Ashes to Ashes was cool :)

Starting today.

Damned

A comedy about harangued and stressed-out social workers.

Social workers Rose and Al work in a children's services department, dealing every day with the all too familiar social issues that flood the media. Swimming against a tide of bureaucracy and pedantry, and contending with the absurdities and irrationalities of life in a county council office, Damned follows Al and Rose as they navigate their way through their equally trying professional and personal lives.

Every day, the team of dedicated social workers in Children's Services at Elm Heath council are faced with government cuts, huge levels of stress-related sick leave, useless temporary staff and an ever increasing client list. And if it isn't the clients, it's the ex-clients. And if not them, it's their private lives that are giving them grief. Welcome to the world of the Damned.

If I need something light and easy, Friday Night Dinner is my go to series.

Consistently funny and good script.

Maybe it's just me but I found the last series to be less funny than the others. The whole 'p1ss face' and 'puss face' routine needs to be refreshed.
