British series, mini-series and dramas .....

Not a series, but seems like a must watch anyway :)

Sightseers (2012)

Chris wants to show girlfriend Tina his world, but events soon conspire against the couple and their dream caravan holiday takes a very wrong turn.

From some of user reviews.

It's going to satisfy a minority audience, but those few who do relish the thought of another dark, very dark, British comedy are going to absolutely delight in it.

Sightseers is beautifully downbeat and both subtler and far darker than Dexter could ever manage.

Ben Wheatley provides one of the year's darkest and funniest comedies in this tale of true love, caravans and dead bodies.

Yet another one onto the list :erm:

Agatha Raisin

The Cotswolds-based PR guru turned amateur sleuth returns for a series
of comedic murder-mysteries based on the books by M.C. Beaton.

Great fun - surprised you missed this one.

About 2 more episodes to go on this. Definitely has a Murder She Wrote vibe going on, except without the old duck.

The Escape Artist - they only doing 3 episodes though and the first episode came out this week.

Does look tempting.

The Escape Artist (2013)

Unforgiven...
Nice little 3 show mini. 50 mins each.
A Sally Wainwright masterpiece.
Grabbed you to the end.

Watching the escape artist now...

The Living and the Dead is a British supernatural drama television series created by Ashley Pharoah and Matthew Graham, with Colin Morgan playing the central role of Nathan Appleby.[1] It is a Victorian era Ghost Hunter series, set in Somerset in the 1890s, when the industrial revolution came to the English countryside. A place of ghosts and myths and poltergeists and demons - and the man whose relentless search and yearning for the afterlife drives the series

Just got around to watching all of this.
It's great.
A classic ghost tale, very well done, not too much gore but chilling as all hell.

Escape Artist was awesome... pretty violent in places but gripping till the end. Thought provoking and clever.
We watched Inside Men after that - also pretty good and difficult to predict though I thought the ending was a bit meh, personally.
