British series, mini-series and dramas .....

Ok I need some new stuff to watch.

Watched recently,
Broadchurch
The Pillars of the Earth
World Without End
State of Play
The State Within

I would prefer a mini series and not something where a single story carries on for 10 frigging seasons.

Also anything to do with the medieval period (ala ken follet), series or movies.
 
Really enjoyed the first season of By Any Means.

Hmm, not sure if right thread, looking for Great British Bakeoff (whole series) - can't even find it to buy on DVD :(

Wish the media content owners would just wake tfu and realise that people would be happy to pay if they made the content available at a reasonable price and in a way that does not gouge you.
 
This thread is in dire need of an update, any new stuff since last year Nov?

Just checked and still no Broadchurch S2, sigh.

Maybe we can add movies here as well if there is anything decent?

Yep would appreciate any feedback.
For my contribution try "Happy Valley".Only watched first episode but looks pretty decent.

MickeyD turned me on to a great movie series called The Worricker Trilogy, starting with Page Eight.
