Anyone else having problems with speed atm?

This month is the first month that I'm on broadband advanced, using a B970 and my speeds from the first of the month have been terrible.

And ...What connection profile are you using ?

I connected using an unrestricted apn with my old device liksys wireless g router, but i can't seem to find where to specify it on the B970.

Do you think thats the problem?

I switched to the b970 about 2 weeks ago and everything worked great on the standard broadband package.

thanks for the help guys

This could be one of the reasons why it could be switching to GPRS.EDGE

I managed to find where to change the profile and set the apn to unrestricted.

Status:Connected(HSPA)

Signal strength: Very good(- 72 dBm)
PPP Connection: Auto
Operator: Vodacom
Access point name: unrestricted
Total connection time: 00:05:39[hh:mm:ss]
Current connection time: 00:05:39[hh:mm:ss]
Received bytes: 2.06 MB
Sent bytes: 878.05 KB

hasn't seemed to make difference

P.s I left the dns settings on dynamic. Should i rather specify a pri and sec dns server

Can't see how the APN will make a difference to your speed.

No

The profile for changing from 3G only to 3G preferred.

Seems that i am connected at 3g speeds, I'll give it an hour or two to see id the problem sorts itself out.

Thanks for the help guys :)

What does a test at speed.vodacom.co.za give you? Do a few in a row and post the results.

Doing a few now but they take about 4 minutes each at my current speed.

What number do you want vodacom? my cell?

can't get through to speed.vodacom.co.za atm
