Broadband Helpdesks put to the test

Hi Highflyer_GP

Very relevant point. Will be taken into account.
I think you have to do it both from their own line and from a telkom line.

Response times are obviously dependent on where the call originates from.

EDIT - reading that I have to cry foul if they're making money off the calls thanks to their interconnect fees!! Poor customer service leads to increased profits?

Telkom efficient???

However much I hate to say it, they telkom ADSL fault logging was darn efficient this morning.

I phoned them at 8:06. And before it even rang one once (after the whole pres 4 press 1 press 5 yadda yadda) it got answered. My problem got captured and I now have a reference number. We will see how long it takes them to come and fix my problem properly.

I don't know if I just got lucky or it was the time I phoned but I do believe praise must be given where it is deserved, and in this regard telkom do deserve a thumbs up for logging the fault correctly. HOWEVER, this is only useful if the problem is speedily resolved

***NOTE: TELKOM DO NOT TAKE THESE WORDS OF PRAISE OUT OF CONTEXT - I AM ONLY PRAISING THIS ONE INCIDENT WHERE U MANAGED TO BE A COMPETENT SERVICE COMPANY, NOR TAKE THEM AS A MAJORITY FEELING OF YOUR LEVELS OF SERVICE.****
