Broadband LTE application: No call back yet....

I got a call back the very next morning. Applied the evening before for Uncapped LTE.

Quick and easy process on the phone. Now I just got to wait a few days for the router etc.

Maybe give it another day and then phone them?
 
ah managed to get through to Telkom sales.

Seems my case was allocated to someone who went on leave the next day and my application was under the person's keyboard.... lol they sorted it out now after apology. Excellent service from Mbali.

best to call 10210 and ask for LTE sales.

Oh and they migrated me from my smart-internet lte unlimited service to this. So cheaper than cancellation.
 
I went into the Telkom shop

The conversation went as follows.

Can i have LTE please
Yes
Can I have it today
Yes
Proceed to fill in all the necessary forms.
Process application

Sorry cant have it today, credit checks first????
But I have multpile accounts with Telkom, why?
Just because

Walk away

Next day sms saying all approved, come pick up device
Go into shop collect device.
While there overheard a conversation with another customer and telkom shop assistant saying they cannot help him, him ending up looking very dissapointed.
Asked him what was wrong, could not connect to the net with his newly acquired speed stick and laptop.
Had him surfing the web in 3 minutes flat with a big smile on his face. Just required APN config. Why could they not help him??? They were muttering on about antivirus mumbo jumbo or something trying to sound intelligent.

Continue.
Collect device go home and configure.
Red light.
Turns out the clowns have not activated the sim.
Still waiting, day 3.


Whos balls need to be licked to get this done?

try 10210 or telkom website and at bottom choose "talk to agent" and ask them to call you back. Than when you waiting you waiting at telkom's cost.
 
Hi everyone, I can see the frustration here, I am a 3rd party agent for Telkom, perhaps I can assist..
 
@Yashveer01 how can you assist ?

He sells and demos offers from telkom. If he is legit they tend to get things done as they have direct line to sales etc. Haad a guy demo for a friend awhile back and they set him up with everything.

get his credentials and check with 180 or Telkom shop if he legit.

I did the callback thing, wanted to order a few for different sites I have. They called me back a month and a half later.
They also wanted 3 months of the business bank statements!
 
It's been two weeks after the debit order on my account but I finally received an SMS to inform me that my router is being delivered today.

I decided to upgrade from my current Internet 5 Promo bundle (10GB+10GB) to the SmartBroadband Wireless 20 GB with Huawei B593 LTE Router package - went through the entire online process to fill in all my details - get to the last screen - click on the Purple ORDER button in Step 5 - then NOTHING!

It seems to have frozen - no pop-up confirming my order, or any other indication that my application has been successful.

Do I now have to drive to a Telkom Direct store now and try this process again 'over the counter'?

bottom of website> chat to agent > select call back after telling them you can not phone them as you have no telkom line> than ask for sales> wait 15-60 min (best put phone on speaker and do something else)> they do upgrade over phone> done.
