Broadband LTE application: No call back yet....

Going on two weeks since I applied on Telkom's website, have yet to hear from a consultant, Telkom rep says they still liaising with our Sales Team - this was after two applications online and the call back option...

I followed up with Telkom on Twitter and also went into one of the branches to create a case. Not sure which of those actions succeeded but I finally took delivery late in last week. If you're applying for LTE Uncapped, it's worth the hassle in my opinion.

If it takes more than 24 hours phone support on 180. I phoned them preemptively and was active in about 18 hours.
 
Unable to RICA SIM card.

10213 (Raymond) : says they cannot rica sim
180 (Sizwe Mthembu): says they do not do rica at 180.

The delivery note says to not rica sim at store and must call 10213 or 180. On line chat says I must visit store and than they cut the chat.

So now I got a sim that does not work :(
 
Damn man. My courier did the rica. All I did was sign the palm pilot type of device he gave me. I asked about the rica process after signing and he said you just did it.

My first payment or deduction went of last week Thursday.
No delivery yet.

Update: Was delivered today at noon. Sim-card not activate yet.
Courier never toook my copy of ID and home address.
Phoned 081-180, they confirmed it will be RICA-ed, even without the papers. Lets see.

An Update from my earlier post, Yash has contacted me, he was the gent who set me up with LTe originally, can only recommend him!!
He is nowadays in JHB, with different contact details from previously.

As I understood it, the people handling delivery are RICA agents. Once they receive your documentation on delivery and verify your ID, it's considered RICA'ed and then you simply have to wait for SIM activation. I assume SIM activation happens once all necessary documentation has been returned to Telkom.

Not uncommon, hang in there. I waited two weeks for delivery. Only received my sms containing delivery details on the day of delivery. Luckily, I happened to be at the office that day and could hang around and wait for it.
