Broadband over power lines makes debut (US)

you might be interested to know that the US Gov supports this technology as it has a value added benefit of enabling demand side management for the power companies - big pressure on them to do that to avoid the "meltdown" that happened in the US and Canada not so long ago. Canada blamed US, US blamed Canada, net result was they all got told to get their houses in order and discover what usage demands on the grids actually were - enter demand side management. Enter a new revenue stream for the power companies.

What are the odds of us getting this up and running in sa, I'm assuming all you need are power lines?

One of the things that needs to be done is for Eskom to look at what is being done elsewhere (I am sure they are anyway) and avoid any pitfalls and work-arounds that would needed to make this technology run better.

It is sad that Telkom chose the DECT phone system over this Technology
