Broadband Problem

Ok guys I hope this is the right place to post this,

Every now and then I lose my connection.It says Detecting Proxy Settings and comes back about 30 seconds later.

It is very annoying especially duting online gaming.

Can anyone help

Which type of connection/service do you have? ADSL? iBurst?...
 
BT Broadband Wireless,A wireless Routers with a speed of 54.0Mbps.
Its a 2gb line so im not sure what is happening.

I asume you are using Internet Explorer. Go to "Tools | Internet Options | Connections | LAN Settings" and uncheck the check-box next to "Automatically detect settings".

This feature of Internet Explorer allows it to discover your proxy server using a numer of different methods. None of these methods are usually used in a home enviroment, so there is no need to keep it checked.
