Well, once again, here I am

4 MB/sec line (supposedly!) with the following results:

Download Speed: 2603 kbps (325.4 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 423 kbps (52.9 KB/sec transfer rate)
Latency: 63 ms
1/28/2015, 12:02:21 PM

Which means that I'm paying for 4 MB/sec and only getting 2.48 MB/sec

Who my ISP is is irrelevant but they also manage my ADSL line and have more "clout" with Telkom than we mere mortals which is why I went that route. My ISP I LURV . . . . Telkom on the other hand seems, couldn't organise a drunk in a brewery

Just did the speed test for Telkom uncapped wifi and asked to share it:

http://speedtest.ookla.com/result/2811706731.png --
Download: 3497 kbps
Upload: 398 kbps
I'm a home user and two families share our connection - 5 family members share on various devices and so far we have no complaints. Also maybe others may find this helpful: Our location is relegated as "gray" by ISP servers, necessitating tests to find the best wifi signal for our area and Telkom at the time, worked best.

Telkom is still STEALING from me! I'm STILL paying for 4 Mb/sec and getting LESS than 3!

Please let us know what line speed your test relates to and confirm that you weren't down or uploading anything at the time. I'm paying for a 4 Mb/sec line and receiving less than 3 Mb/sec. To cap it all, Telkom told me that "your location and exchange can handle up to 10 Mb/sec, no problem" and they then approached me to become a Telkom Wi-Fi Hotspot - yeah, right!
Please, even though you live in beautiful Centurion (my 2nd favourite cricket venue!) go to my Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/pages/The-Celt-58-For-Fair-ADSL-Usage-in-Cape-Town/1386280775014031?ref=hl and post your experiences as to what you get as to what you pay for. I'm having nearly 40% of what I pay for undelivered. That's like paying for a fill-up on your 60 litre petrol tank and only being given 36 litres. NOT GOOD
