100Mb RSAWeb fibre, well, if your network is Gb you can get Gb speeds...
Best I ever got was 490 down and 700 up

A Monday morning on my so-called 4 MB/sec ADSL line and I'm 3,050 METERS from the closest Telkom ADSL hub. What do YOU think? I reckon it's a sorry day when Telkom charge for a 4 MB/sec line and can only deliver just over 50% of that. I would imagine that the problem is exponentially worse for those who pay for 10 MB/sec lines and faster. Can anyone elaborate? Please ;-)

A common theme here is that whatever package we pay for we only get half the speed or less!!
Also a common thread amongst SA companies - screw the customer as much as possible...

Afrigreen POC test network Cape Town - high latency, download speed better than after 22:00 last night, but Cannot Get Mail (imap.gmail.com) this morning.

I get full speed most of the time, and I share my connection with 30 other people.
