Broken harddrive

So I broke my media content 1,5TB Samsung harddrive, it fell over sideways and hit the corner of my keyboard. Not seen by BIOS, it seems the thing (chip with a copper coil, in middle of pic) broke when it happened. Fixable?

Yeah that should be fixable, pretty standard component (inductor), the specs of it is usually written on it.

It is 4.7uH (micro). Essential for proper operation of DC-DC converter. You need to replace this item. When it happen was the power supplied to the drive? If answer is YES, then don't bother, it is not going to help. If 'NO', then, maybe...
 
SouthBit is currently on holiday in New York :) Samsung stupidly put the component side of the PCB on the outside and components are easily damaged. A replacement PCB with ROM transfer should get your drive up and running again.
