Broken Laptop as in Battery issue

History has shown I should ask here before opening up a laptop, the last one didn't go so well for me

I have an Acer laptop with built in battery - worked like a charm for the last few years, extra long battery life, no issues.
Damn power failure the other night while charging, now it will only work when plugged it.

0 battery life - google not much help, things like updating the bios or holding the power button down etc...

Any ideas - currently running windows 10

Some laptops has a pinhole on the bottom that should "reseat" the battery so to speak.

Lets hope it will be not another giveaway.
Do you have battery calibration option in BIOS or diagnostic software?
PM laptop model number and I will do search from my side.
