Browser history

Hi all.

Just a quick one.I am currently using Windows IE, and for some reason my history wont delete. It has always worked when i go : Tools>internet options> and then delete browsing history, but for some reason, after i do that, it still isnt deleted.

Any advice?

Install Firefox or Chrome

Use a real browser. Basically anything except IE.

Have you tried CCleaner from dub dub dub piriform dot com ?

Upgrade or reinstall IE. I agree with the other folk,try Firefox or Chrome.

What tick options do you use for history deletion? Try ticking all the boxes except for Preserve Favorites website data.
What IE version do you have installed?
If v9.x, then try:
- ATL + X to bring up the menu
- Select Internet Options
- Under Browsing History, click on Settings
- Click on View Files
- Select the files you want to delete
- Press the Shift key and then the Delete key - this will remove the files permanently (no recycle bin)

BTW, when using your method in the original post, what files are left behind?
