I've been accepted for bsc IT at UP for next year but now I'm thinking of doing computer science. So I'd like to ask is bsc of it equivalent to computer science or maybe there's a margin between them?

Send a link to the degree info please?
Not sure why a BSc IT is not being called a computer science degree.

I'm assuming the BSc IT, is more of an information systems course then. Both courses have the same level of recognition, although I suggest going up to honours for whichever one you choose.

CS will be more mathematical and there would also be more theoretical and technical coursework. If that's more up your alley, it's the better course for you. If you're on the fence, choose CS (interesting, lucrative work, and more consistently valued across industries and countries).
