Anyone got any news? Have 4 PC's from various clients that BSOD since late yesterday. Obviously some update gone wrong somewhere. Waiting for my IT guys to bring in the PC's so we can have a look, just like to hear if someone else received the same problems?

Happened to me last year - AVG Free Edition started messing around with the workstations.

Uninstalled AVG, then install Microsoft Security Essentials - sorted.

AHA! I for the first time yesterday, since installing Win7, had a BSOD and wondered why, guess what... that was after installing AVG. There was some worms on the system tho due to my kids using infected mem sticks, "Virus identified I-Worm/Brontok.X".

Time to get rid of the AVG false positive master and go back to Essentials then.

Just make sure you enable "Scan removable drives" under Settings > Advanced in Security Essentials. I dont care that it's a bit slower to access the flash drive, first scan it.
