Budget 2016 - Discussion thread

Yep. Gordhan also has a certain level of credibility and stature within the party so Zuma can't just play ventriloquist with him like some of the others.

LOL. "Credibility and stature" within that party counts for something? Really?

Besides being able to project my PIT, and the 30c fuel levy there is nothing concrete about this budget. All the proposed levies(sugar, tyres, etc..) are still pie in the sky and nobody knows how much these will contribute to the increase to cost of living. Finding minority equity partners for failed and failing SOE's are a dream and will never happen. Also no plans on growing the economy (the 30c fuel levy is already going in the wrong direction)

The ANC is taking us all to poverty.

Luckily we have Gordhan there who has credibility and stature within the party. We will be OK.

Never mind the levies, the ways in which we are going to achieve this "magical" growth that exceeds Moody's / IMF / World Bank forecasts have not been articulated in the least ...

after this budget its pretty obvious his also a lapdog. seems our real loss was Nene.

We were fscked either way. Nene gave his approval towards that fake Nkandla report so he's not much different to the rest...

Wish they would make lemonade lite. I taste the ginger in Sprite.. Or fake ginger.
I wish.

Woolies sells a sugar free lemonade that is really good and cheap too on special - 3 for R33.

more good news , both Moody's and S&P have already hinted the budget is "meh":

and the chess pieces are being moved around to risk another nenegate shuffling of finance ministers:

This little battle within the ANC is going to key to watch.
